This is a totally wrong message someone out there put out to make people nervous. Application support centers do no have IO's. The only IO's you will meet would be at a different USCIS facility where you take appointment and stand before the counter and ask the questions.
There will be no reason why someone would meet a IO at the fingerprinting place which generally have technicians and security to monitor the process. You sit in a waiting room alongwith 100 other people, then once your name is called, you do the fingerprinting and get out of the door.
There is no time to mingle with IOs nor there will be IOs(friendly or not) who would be willing to disclose any information to you.
Some people online gloat at having pleasure to spread disinformation. this seems to be the case...

I believe if the case has been pre-adjudicated then it shouldn't matter whats the RD and ND. They will probably approve based on Priority date. Earlier PDs get approved first. But who knows, its USCIS.
dwuser's case does not seem to have been preadjudicated, as his/her ND is not within the published current processing dates by TSC. For preadjudicated cases PD should be the priority for visa issues.

WTF..... i'm so damn ticked off now.
Eb3-I has been just hung out to dry.
Everything else keeps progressing. Bullshit obama govt isn't doing squat for the immig reform bill too.
I'm fine with Eb2-I progressing, but shouldn't there be something to move Eb3 too. Its crazy to think that folks in Eb3 with dates of 2002/03 are still waiting while Eb3 folks from 2005 are now current.

I can understand the frustration of long wait for GC. The fight is for immigrant and non immigrant visas. Everyone(individuals like you and me), desi employers, desi MNCs, american companies wants to play by rules. The system is not fair. thats the reality.

I am in for the flowers thing. However I have a suggestion, sending flowers just to Director U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will not help much, we need to draw the attention on congress on this to increase the green card quota and get rid of country quota. It is good to analyze. But pls let us be together.
There are several who's category was determined by the employer and their lawyer and an equal number, who have no clue as to what is actually the content of their labor. Myself for example, was never allowed a glimpse of the labor application, only know that it was approved. i also do not have a hard copy of my I140.
The positive point is this year, major channels are talking about Legal immigration much more than i have heard before.
let us work together to highlight the broken system, the only way it can eventually get fixed by our direct efforts.

What Sheriff did is absolutely inhumane and entire human society must be ashamed of his act.
IMHO, When a lady is 9 months pregnant, NO punishment to her is justifiable. Not in this world or the world after us, as simple as that. Any punishment must be postpartum, after full recovery.
I can't believe there are people in this forum defending his actions.--Are we forgetting that Sheriff was dealing/punishing two people here? What did the unborn do to deserve this treatment?
After reading this thread and the posts by people who supported the sheriff--I really have a bad taste in mouth. How low did we stoop as a human society that we can't understand the labor pains?

Hello,
I am also trying to go through the process of getting my spouse's name changed. I got good information from all your posts, but I am trying to understand the order of steps to be followed:
So,
1. Place ads in newspapers in US and India
2. Get the local court order
3. Mail all the required docs to respective Indian Embassy in US along with court order
4. Once passport received with new name, use the court order and passport to change names in SSN, drivers license etc.
5. Once all of them are changed, send all copies to USCIS (New name will be applied with next stamping and for now we ll still carry old and new passports pinned togther)
Please let me know if I am missing something and any details if possible.

Why dont you track our IP address for the past 1-2 days. People we have a question, throw us some light now that our application officailly falls under current dates....
Our service center is Texas Center and the dates -
Priority Date - Oct 18 2004
485 Received Date - Aug 17th 2007
485 Notice Date - Oct 16th 2007
The current processing time for Texas Service Center is August 23rd 2007. Do they process based on reciept date or notice date? From the past experience we know that they donot process based on priority dates (We have been current for 3 times in the past and saw approvals for PD's in 2006 with earlier notice and receipt dates)
I called uscis a couple of weeks agoand again today, I was told (by two different resp) that they go by Receipt date.
Our service center is Texas Center and the dates -
