Where are those ppl who were venting anger towards IV core team for posting news before announcement? Anyway it took lot of hard work for the IV team to continue on their mission even after so much fiasco by some IV posters too.
Great job and keep up the hard work for lots of work is still needed to fix this broken and flawed immigration system of this great nation.

Please contact IV core before you do these kind of campaigns. While it is understandable that most IV members are enthuiastic and want to contribute in all possible ways, at this time, it is essential to do it in the most effective way. Please come up with innovative ideas and discuss them with core before you start campaigns

I have filed for H1B under the Masters quota but i will be graduating only in May and gave an official document from my University that i would be graduating. Somebody i know had also done a similar thing but he got a h1B rejection mail from USCIS yesterday. This has made me really upset. Is anyone there who has filed with a similar document and has received H1B? He had filed it witha consultant while mine is a highly reputed company. Will that make a difference?
Can you tell exact wording you used in the letter of completion. I would assume that you need to have following statement in the letter.
"xxxxx has completed all the degree requirements"
instead of just having "would be graduating"

logically speaking lottery will be applied only on the applications that have crossed the limit. for 20000 MS H1 quota assume on April 4 the numbr of applications recieved is 18000 and on April 5 the number of applications recieved is 4000, then lottery will be held for the 4000 applications to determine the 2000 cases. All applications recieved on and after april 6 will be returned.
This is just my logical reasoning.

Congats all of the applicants who can file for i-485 or i-140 and i-485 concuerrently in this month till 17th august and also wish and hope people's labor approves quickly so that they can also file concurrently!

Currently NSC processing time for employment based 485 is 15th Sept. 2007... My notice date is 18th Sept. 2007 (based on case status shown on USCIS site)
Looks like I am going to miss my GC by 3 days and wait till next year :mad: I highly doubt that dates will stay at 2005 during next month bulletin.. (I truly hope I am wrong!)
My PD is 12/04 and yesterday I learned they haven't even opened my case file. So for all these years it had been gathering dust. But that could be just my kismet and your might be different. Anyways, I am not looking for GC till 4th qtr 2010:cool:.

What Details? I have mentioned in one of my posts here that my PERM has not yet been filed....No details regarding my green card processing.....Please read my posts to get more details on this.
Admin need to add three more options to 'Processing Stage' info in the header, 'Not Yet Filed', 'Not Interested in GC', and 'GC Received'. N/A should be removed, as there is always some Processing Stage.

You are right that PD of the substute labors are clogging the lines. But something can certainly be done. We can ask CIS to assign the date of filing of I-140 as the PD for substitute case. This is not same as revoking all substituted labors. This is simply rearranging the serial numbers in the queue. And this does not require any law from the lawmakers. So this should be low hanging fruit.

Yes, that would suffice as a name change in the passport. My situation was as follows.
Passport:
Surname: Y**** Z****
Given name: X****
I requested for an observation from SFO consulate and got it corrected to the following format.

Given name: X**** Y****
I got this done through mail and these were the documents required

I have a similar problem. In all my documents i just have one name as given name from childhood no surname or initials.
In passport given name is : XXX
And surname is : blank
In my H4 stamping they made it
Given name : FNU (First name unknow)
Last Name : XXX
So in my medical record and I-94, I-797 in US i use FNU XXX. I am planning to apply with this name itself as i feel it may take a while and is not safe to go to indain embassy and have a name change with this short time.
I plan to have my husbands name as my last name later.
Can i do it after filing for 485 or getting GC. Do reply.

Is this period (July 1st 2004 to Feb 28th 2005) considered as Legal Status assuming the following scenario
1.company Applied for H1 transfer on July 1st 2004
2.Started taking Training from the companyfrom July 1st 2004 and finished Training on 30th Aug 2004
3.Started the client project and got payslips from Sep1st 2004 till 15th Feb 2005
4.Got employment letter from company from July 1st 2004 to 28th Feb 2005

Can you elaborate on your decision to start your own IT training firm (as opposed to a IT service provider)? I grew up in bangalore and there were a large number of training institutes back in the day. I am curious to know how your training firm is going to be different from others.

Well, you know the quality of education which IT traning firm provide there. I will just focus on teaching OCP certification myself. mejority of institute just teaches oracle. They dont have enough expertise in teaching DBA knowledge.

i think v r f'ed up big time; part of the problem was setting our hopes higher.
on another note, if some ppl call this a rumor, I would say this is US and "almost all" rumors in US are true.
I just hope its not true.

Thanks for your suggestion. But the problem is its not that simple. Here is why. If the same individual create multiple IDs on IV and post using multiple IDs, one for posting derogatory comments and others that are not derogatory, we can keep mum to a point, but then it just gets too frustrating. Like in this case, madhuvj and GCStatus is the same person posting from the same machine but posting as if you are two different individuals. Hence my posts. Please stop this and email/pm us your phone number and we will start the transition process. We are sure you will do a better job than us.
You see, just like everyone else, we also have limited number of hours in a day. We can either spend our time looking at who is using multiple forum ids to post similar messages creating a false impression for other forum visitor, like the one projected in 'if i can be blunt' thread, or we can spend our time doing better things. Your actions are not helping anyone including yourself. Hope you understand.
