it is pure exploitation of physicians on j1/h1 visas. And everyone know about it, including the law makers.
People finishing residencies and fellowships on j1 visa go through some unscroplous lawyers and agencies and manage to get a waiver job by spending at least 20 to 25K.

All july 2ND FILERS... DOES THE DATE OF FILING(mailing date) MATTERS OR THE DATE OF DELIVERY MATTERS?
I think most cases delivered on July 2nd is filed on June 29th or 30th.

Every bank is here to make money. I do transfer money through SBI and ICICI , didn't find any difference as far as rates are concerned. Services at ICICI are much better than Sarkari SBI. At least you can do many things with ICICI by sitting here rather than SBI.
Switching is not a good option, What you gonna do if other bank also doing with you the same thing. I would suggest complain it with RBI whatever you are not satisfied with.

My wife and I had our interviews on Jan 3rd. Consulate handed the passport to VFS on Jan 4th. DHL (i think) delivered at home on Jan 5th.

Substitution approved can be interpreted to mean approval of the substitution I-140 petition. For the 45-day validity of the certified labor certification, under the proposed rule, the certified labor certification on the date of publication was supposed to have 45 days to file the I-140 petitions. For the labor certifications which are approved after publication of the final rule must file the I-140 petitions within 45 days from the date of certification.
The DOL could have changed part of the proposed rules in the final rule and the readers are cautioned to wait for the release of the final rule before they jump into any conclusion and take a misguided action.

Here is another question. Its about leadership but uses immigration as an example.
"This is just one example of our political status quo: America's LEGAL immigration system is in dire need of a reform. Even though the members of Congress agree to that, they are not able to or not willing to bring about such a reform. Their hands are tied because of a certain powerful focus group who won't allow ANY immigration reform unless it encompasses a comprehensive reform of a well-known controversial issue. Innocent people always get hurt in a war. And in this conflict its the legal immigrants, who have not broken any laws, are the ones who are suffering the most. Senator Obama, as the President of the United States, what will you do, so that the voice of the people can be heard and their problems solved instead of selected powerful groups bullying the lawmakers?"
Please vote. We need have people talking about our problems. We need to bring awareness about the difference between legal and illegal immigration. The likes of Dobbs often confuse the two.
Send the letters and vote for these questions.

My suggestion to all is let's give it some time...When IV core delivers on the bill..The pie would be bigger and this whole discussion would be rendered meaningless in a minute....If everything is current we would not have the conversation at all....

you had waited for such a long time. I would suggest to take a big break and visit india and come back. In fact you can do the same in EAD. Think forward don't get your emotions in the way.
That is correct, 9 months and then I will return to my country for good.
I am waiting for the day when we get the GC , we will tear it into pieces and throw in front of consulate.

1 week after getting approved, I got the card in mail today.
All the work that I put in the last 2 month to get my file picked finally comes to an end here. It's good to see that people are proactively calling USCIS and following up on their cases.
Good luck to all EB2 folks who are current and waiting and to all the EB3 folks, hope you guys become current soon.

First time i called ,IO(Male voice) said my I140 shows EB3 catagory
Today , i called again, IO (Female-Janet), she said ,other officer didnt know what to look for , your application is Preadj. and in line to be assigned to an IO for processing.
I dont know , whom to believe.
Any suggestions???
