Sorry but do not want to be a damper... But this thread does not give me the right feeling. I have been a member of IV i think from dec 2005 and contributed quite a few hundered dollars and just like this organization as a simplistic, good non-profit orgnization with good intentions....
But in this thread we see a taunt... which is more like we will not have numbers in DC and then some triades...
So far whenever such type of hate comments are posted, I have noticed that the IV core/ Super moderators either close the threads or blacklist the user....
But in this case we see periodically (i think a couple of times) that super moderators are only making comments that we need to prove numbers so join the rally....
Sorry to say this but i feel either this stage managed ( the triades) or super moderators/ IV core are taking advantage of this thread.... Both I feel are inappropriate....
If I am wrong in what i have stated - My apologies to Supermoderators / IV Core.... But If I am right then I think personally it is a sad day since it lowered the image of IV in front of a great admirer.

Like in the movies Rang De Basanti .. newer generation was compared to Freedom Fighters and like in Lage Raho Munna Bhai -we had Non Violence portest Heroes, I am seeing very comparble Heroes in the Immigration Voice Core team. It does take lots of guts and courage to do the right thing , at such a high , sensitive level , with peacful, intelligent talks... especially in a land which is not yours for sure yet.

What Sanju posted is not off the mark. And I agree with Wandmaker. The person who came up with this idea needs to PM or e-mail Pappu or Administrator and get some feedback if IV Core supports this. If you get the yay from Pappu, then form a small core group who will tacke the operational aspect of this idea and keep it moving forward. The "posts" need to be coverted to "actions". I am just speaking from experience having run a successful year long campaign with IV already. Best of Luck!

Bottom line is getting VISA number assigned to file when current, and let them complete review at later time, once File has VISA number then its ready to for approval.

Which USCIS Center did you go to. The best thing here would be that someone else also go to the same USCIS Center and can hopefully talk to the same IO officer. If she shows the memo again then we can get more information out of it.
This is the reason I would not want to give the ASC info. People will start bombarding the office, like they misuse the POJ method calling for nothing.

You are ABSOLUTELY correct in saying that all the forums mention EB2 and very little attention is shed on EB3. I wonder why! Is it because EB2 recepients are more actively involved on IV? Or because EB3 recepients are quieter? Both these situations lend themselves to the bias towards EB2. And ultimately lead to one thing - more being done for EB2. I am EB2 and believe you me - I'm not complaining.
Sadly though, the number of EB3 applicants is many many times the number of EB2. So, there's something to be said for participation and having your voice heard. It is no wonder then that we as a group are dismal at having our collective voices heard - we don't participate like our lives depended on it. And in this case our entire lives depend on what's going on...
So, instead of bickering and blaming, why don't we awaken the giant that is EB3 India and China and have them participate as well...maybe we'll be able to kill many many birds (country limits, DC rallies, contributions to IV and lobbying activities, phone call campaigns, letter campaigns...) with just one stone....just thinking out loud...that's all...

Go to the authorities and report her.
H1 is a temporary situation. Your family is permanent. Protect your family.
Do not let the fear of social services coming to check on you from stopping to do the right thing. They have a job to do; they will not take away a child unless they really believe that the child is not being cared for. They do not want to add to the strain of foster care system which is already under stress.
Law enforcement agencies also monitor sites like IV, Rajiv Khanna etc. And they can get a subpoena against IV to get your information if they suspect that a crime has taken place.
Everyone: please please ... You should not only check for the cleanliness and background of the staff (and facility) who take care of your kid. Also make sure that their way of taking care of your kid meets your expectation. Do not make any assumptions. Ask pointed questions and get certain answers.
Also... I feel that there is more to the story than what the OP has said in his one and only posting.
I think he/she already went past the point to think "what will happen to me" when they hired someone knowing that she was not legally eligible to work/provide that service.
If not them reporting that nanny, her next victim will report her. I strongly believe that, if she is used to that way of raising a kid, she will hit other kids in the future. And they will be exposed at that point when the authorities grill her to spill the beans on her previous employers.
I am also afraid that the OP might take matters into his/her own by making an emotional decision; and that would put him in hot water.

I hope that was not the only criteria for you to choose her. Keep in mind that a person's behaviour when they are alone speaks of their true nature. A few 'simple' cases of water-boarding people thought will not have any repercussions. How wrong those people were. Similarly, police torturing 'intruders' and defending such actions does not make it right. It just erodes the basic character of the entire country. Would you want to teach your own kids as to how to treat such issues ? Shooting, shackling, water-boarding etc ? Please do not give a flippant reply, do think about it before you hit the submit button.

It has been proved over the years that a pure enforcement policy which many nativists support to be economically unviable. Minutemen patrolling the borders to Gov. I was confused because of this statement which is stating 60 days only -
For a new H1B, a grace period of up to 60 days is allowed before you can start work after entering the country.
One more thing I'm sorry. Last April(last entry date) when I came back after vacation, I transferred to a new company, after I got the receipt number they asked me to start working (that was around April too). Until now, I haven't received any approval yet. What should I enter in my present employer details, my old company or new company (wherein my transfer is still in process)?

All that is needed is perhaps some sort of continued communication from the CORE. There hasn't been much activity - which is fine, but as long as the IV members know that CORE is alive and kicking - that is a big thing!

Here is something i found on the web for the interpretation of labor sub cases, the original PD stays with original beneficiary, but when the labor certification is used for another beneficiary then USCIS should allocate the new I-140 filing date as PD, not the original LC date.
Following link suggest that labor substitution should not grant PDs.
