Hi All,
My cheques got encashed & based yesterday.
Application filied on : July 2
Service Center : NSC
I-140 approved on Jun 2006 from TSC
LUD of I-140 : 07/28/2007
Recp.No starts as : "SRCxxxxxxxx"
so looks like though I filied the application at NSC based on the working location it got transferred to TSC as my I-140 has been approved by TSC.

I know lot of my friends still waiting for GC since last 7/8/9 years. As you can see MY PD is Oct 2001 and I got my approval email last week.
So dont think that everyone who is getting approved with old PD has bought a Sub labor.
People are waiting patiently for the queue to get clear and wait for their turn.

Ok guys if at all this helps someone.......
My old passport had my surname as FNU,Given name as X **Y** Z**
My visa also has the same.
My I94 which i filled out has First name Z **and family name X** Y(only Initial).
When i renewed my passport i had it as
Surname X**
Given name Z** Y**
It was just the way i filled our the application and though they told me the name would be the same as in the previous one they issued based on what i filled up.
All my school records have X.Y.Z**
I had consulted my attorney and she said that USCIS is aware of thie name confusion and as long as all the names are there there should not be any problems.It doesnt matter if they are jumbled.Now even if she was wrong i am not worried at this stage.
I have made up my mind to handle an issue when it comes.Y do we want to confuse with unnecessary fears.Planning ahead is good as long as it gives us peace,but not at the cost of our peace.

I think that the IV core is aware of this campaign. They are not against it, as far as I understand, though obviously, there is no direct endorsement from them either.
I think this is a great idea to get media attention - something different and unique, and media always loves these things. The only thing that can doom it to failure is lack of enough numbers.
If we go and tell a journalist about this campaign, the first question we will be asked is, "how many flowers are you talking about?" and if our answer would 50 or 100, then the story dies right there. 250,000 affected skilled immigrants and only 100 of them are enthu enough to send flowers - well that's no story :rolleyes:.
So the only thing I can say is that at worst, this action will do you no harm and you will be out of 30-40 dollars. But at best, this can give us a media spotlight - and I think it is worth it.
Well no one wants to spend $20 to contribute to IV but ready $30 for flowers and post it to Gonzalez :)
The idea that core wants to float is to have an effective campaign under the IV umbrella. Please come up with more innovative ideas and discuss with core.

Just because this article says so doesnt mean its true. The whole point of this article was to demonize the law enforcement efforts directed against illegals.

1.3.6 Pregnant inmates shall not be restrained during the delivery stage of childbirth. An officer shall be present at all times. If necessary, a second officer may be assigned in accordance with the security risk, escape risk or custody level. After the birth of the child, prescribed custody level restraints shall be reapplied."

Thanks Ragz4u. We shud try and publish info like this on the website in an "Recent Updates/Activity" section. That section will give not only what IV is doing currently but also what the impact is. Now i dont know if that will have adverse consequences, but if it wont then we shud publish more such info on the site. This will convince the fence sitters to contribute and participate more actively. We have the forums on the extreme right, above or below that we shud have a "Live/Recent Updates/Activity" or a link updated as frequently as possible. There was a saying that "IV never sleeps". I think it is time that the people visiting IV and it's forums know that and know what all is going on.
Does that sound like a good idea, or is it going to have adverse effects?

I was confused because of this statement which is stating 60 days only -
For a new H1B, a grace period of up to 60 days is allowed before you can start work after entering the country.
One more thing I'm sorry. Last April(last entry date) when I came back after vacation, I transferred to a new company, after I got the receipt number they asked me to start working (that was around April too). Until now, I haven't received any approval yet. What should I enter in my present employer details, my old company or new company (wherein my transfer is still in process)?
