In india we celebrate the bharat pravasi diwas (NRI Day) and PM is in attendance. Remittance to India is a big boost to the economy.
PM should give a hint to Obama on EB issues but I don't expect PM to help me get my GC. Bharat Pravasi diwas is a good way to initiate this dialogue within the NRI community.

I was the first to show my site, then paddy, then dark and then fern so i really dont see any influence may it be progressive or negative...

but i voted mlke, liked the colorwork, only thing i didn't like that much was the incoherency (the split up of the menu: titles above header, content below)

I filed my I-485 on Aug 13, 2007 (Received date) under EB3 ROW (> 180 days). My I-140 was filed for job "Systems Analyst". I am now being offered a job as "Director of Development" managing the development process along with 30-40 people for another company. I know this theme has been discussed and has risks but would it be OK to take the job. I have approved EAD and AP due to expire on Nov 21 (will renew tomorrow just in case GC does not get approved by then). Has anyone been in this position? I have valid H1-B visa and have not used EAD or AP.
Any advice highly appreciated. thanks!

AOS is neither vaild non-immigrant status nor immigrant status. It is a "period of authorized stay" based on contigency of approval of 485. Though, it has work authorization, there is no law clearly says they are eligible for school or any other benefits that immigrants enjoy. Therefore, it is difficult to explain to those have limited knowledge. It is better to get a letter from immigrant lawer to explain to school or just follow what school is suggesting.

A freind of mine had two years EAD and don't have H1 anymore. His drivers License was denied as EAD is not considered a valid document for drivers License extention.
This happened in Wayne , NJ.
I too will be going for the renewal soon. Did anyone else faced similar situtation. If yes, how did they resolve?
illinois somehow does not worry too much... i have never had trouble with mine or my wife's... she did not have license when she was on H4 right after 9/11 but they have changed that since then and even h4 folks have it... sorry to hear about your case... is it likely that someone in the dmv made a mistake?

IMO, the market is not as good as you think, and it�s going through the worst recession ever.
If not at your current job, you may have to take a pay cut at your future job, because that�s the current economic reality.
Since you have asked� I would suggest you to stay where you are and float your resume in the market and see the kind of response you get. I hope you will have a better idea then.

Last year when people were campaigning for the rally, some of the campaign slogans were "come to the rally and get gc now instead of 10 years later". That is pushing people's hopes up without reason.
The problem with such promises and anticlimaxes is, you will not be able to sustain their interest.
I think gceverywhere is trying to make an appeal, and just to attarct people to this thread, he named it fast track EB greencard. ;) His intentions are correct ... but the method he chose is not. If this becomes a trend, readers will have tough time.

No you don't need to be on payroll before filing the PERM. That is what I did. GC can be applied for future employment.
so can we file LC perm with an employer while on H4 and move to H1 little bit later?

Thanks..I was just kind of curious to see, is anyone on the same boat as mine? Coz, most of my friends/network whom I had asked, got their status changed along with their spouses'. If its the same with the community, then I have to do something. But yah, It didn't occur to me that, if there is no answer, means, probably there aren't that many ppl in the same situation as mine...Thanks again...
My spouse got his EAD card yesterday. We haven't recd any RNs or for that matter any notices so far. I applied as his dependent. I guess my case is similar to yours.

Hi,
My I-94 which was issued 2 years ago in the port of entry got expired(this I-94 was based on my previous employer "ABC". I have applied for H1 extention and got my 797 extended with new I-94 recently with my new employer "XYZ".
My question is which I-94 details should I use while filing my 485. Obviously my labor was filed by "XYZ" company.

I had the same situation and asked my attorney last month. He replied "I-94 # is always the # on the white card which is stapled in your passport", meaning the latest I-94 (white card) given to you at the port of entry. It doesn't matter whether it is expired or not. Hope this answers.

My lawyer told me that 140 PP can't be filed with a copy of LC. They say you can only file regular processing if you don't have the original LC.
She said, it requires some additional processing by USCIS in case of copy of LC that requires more time and therefore they can't process it in 15 days.
This is exactly why a successor in interest I-140 cannot be premium processed.
Original poster, as long as you have one I-140 receipted/approved with original LC, you should be able to send that receipt/approval notice copy and ask that they honor your new I-140 with copy of LC

No they are not. because FB2A applies ONLY if primary applicant is green card holder and I-130 is approved for them. Both the conditions must be met BEFORE I-485 is filed.

We don't need CIR..... CIR for illegal
We just need GC without asking anything after working 10 years legally with paid all tax without hopeing for Social Security.
Everyone knows our problem don't get into CIR it will ultimately heart us and delay our GC if you are not aware of 245i which still in our way and it is for illegal immigrant.

The foreign-born spouse should submit an application for adjustment of status which is an application for a green card. Items which may accompany the green card application include green card photographs, an application for employment authorization, an application for a travel permit and numerous other INS forms.
